Visarte Basel

visarte.region.basel is a regional group of visarte.schweiz, the successor organization of the GSMBA (Society of Swiss Painters, Sculptors and Architects), active since 1866. The Basel group was founded a year later in 1867. As a professional association, visarte represents the interests of the artists and provides them with a targeted range of services in dealing with their professional problems and ensuring their social demands. As a distinguished cultural organization, it intends to continue to actively influence the cultural policy of the federal government, cantons and municipalities and to promote artistic and cultural interests.
