TRAFAČKA, the building of the former transformer station, founded by Nitra photographer František Kolář in 2009, provides an exhibition space for prominent protagonists of photographic art and opens the door for today’s talented photographers who were captivated by photography. The exhibition space on the ground floor of the transformer station is thoughtfully connected with the attic of the building, where there is a studio focused on work with historical phototechnics.
Trafačka is a space with year-round dramaturgy focused on all kinds of alternative art. It provides space for local meeting initiatives, NGOs to organize their own events, secondary schools and universities to apply their projects into practice, and creates their own program with dramaturgy.
