The Lobby is a contemporary exhibition space located in a domestic sphere within the Perth suburb of Swanbourne, operating under the directive of Leah Robbie. Primarily focused on providing exposure for artists’ work without commercial risk for either the artist or The Lobby, an environment has been developed which stimulates discussion about the arts and broader cultural issues. In a comfortable and inviting space the divide between artist and audience is closed to allow a more intimate experience.
Exhibition opening nights are held every 4 to 6 weeks. Please note that the remainder of the exhibition will be open by appointment only due to the domestic nature of the building. The Lobby’s 2020 exhibition program has shifted to quarterly curatorial projects by guest curators. Please refer to our exhibition tab for upcoming shows.
