One of France’s longest running artist-led space and association, Syndicat Potentiel’s artistic project has been to create new crossovers between contemporary artistic creation and social, economic, political or ecological concerns related to today’s world. It was founded in 1992 as a non profit organisation with the goal of instituting a space for the diffusion of independent contemporary art. For the last twenty five years its role has been the diffusion of local and invited artists through an annual program of exhibitions and specific actions
Crée en 1992 à l’initiative d’une dizaine d’étudiants de la Haute école des Arts du Rhin) Le Syndicat Potentiel s’affirme comme un des plus ancien espace d’exposition géré par des artistes-auteurs encore en activité en France. Le Syndicat Potentiel inscrit ses actions et sa programmation dans une conception élargie de l’Art, dans ses ouvertures sur les mutations du monde, des questions de société, de ses différents champs et territoires d’intervention possibles, existants ou à créer.
