Sydhavn Station

The exhibition center Sydhavn Station is an artist-run exhibition site that presents contemporary art at the busy station hall in Copenhagen’s South Harbor. 1/3 The exhibition site was formed in 2012 and today consists of 11 members. The site’s special location at an S-train station has created an artistic meeting place for contemporary art, where there would otherwise not be art. We turn to a wide range of Copenhageners, travelers, tourists and locals. We come in contact with many different age groups and social classes that through this meet art in the public space in an informal way.
