Singuhr—projekte is a project initiative that promotes the development of sound art on different levels and designs it together with artists, academics, and communicators. It is a further development of the work of the singuhr—hoergalerie, which from 1996—2014 presented international sound art at Berlin’s Parochialkirche and at Prenzlauer Berg’s old water tank at Wasserturm. Since 2014, the emphasis has been placed on opening new production conditions of site-specific art and the development of cooperative, discursive, and theoretical formats. The range of artistic productions stretches from site-specific compositions to residency projects and exhibitions in collaboration with existing project spaces, other institutions within the city, and international partners.
