Schimmel Projects – Art Centre Dresden is an international Platform and exhibition space for young, emerging and experimental contemporary art. The project is initiated by the two
artists Philipp Raphael Putzer (Italy) and Rasmus Roos Lindquist (Denmark), and is located in Dresden, Germany.
Schimmel Projects – Art Centre Dresden opened the doors in October 2017 and besides a big exhibition space we host an art library, art talks, film screenings and more. Our programme has a strong focus on international exchange and we focus on showing strong positions from “early career” artists. We are a non-commercial and independent exhibition space.
Besides the invited artists, we also do exchanges with other Art spaces, where they curate an exhibition at our space and we curate an exhibition at their space. This means that we are not only able to present high quality exhibitions to the Dresden Art Scene, but also show some of the most talented artist from Dresden in Art spaces nationally and internationally.
