Rec

Rec, is an artists collective, working predominantly in the area of photography and film. It was founded by Melisa Önel, Selim Süme, Serkan Taycan and Sevim Sancaktar.

As Rec, we work on exhibitions and publish limited edition books. The collective came together to share, explore and take part in the processes in each other’s work.

Our aim is collective action and creation in collaboration with other collectives and artists who work in various disciplines. So far we have not had a set space and have worked in different spaces according to the project. However, for future projects’ development, exhibition and discussion we regard forming our own space an important step.
