People Of Remarkable Talents (PORT), Established in 2011, PORT’s main objective is to immerse the community with cultural and artistic experiences as the Perak State Government recognised the increasing importance of arts and culture to the future growth of the society, and acknowledge the changing needs of its residents regarding the creative industry.
With the motto of “Unity Thru Arts”, PORT will continue to serve as the melting pot for international and local artists, cultural workers, and the community regardless of race and background. Since its establishment, PORT has been actively encouraging and supporting local artists especially the Perakians to showcase and develop their talents in visual arts, performing arts, literature, film, music and other creative fields and also to help enhance their intellectual faculties through specially organised talks and forums.
