Obscura is independent contemporary art platform in Tbilisi, Georgia. It was founded in 2013 by young Georgian artists and curators. Its aim is to find interesting ideas, plan and develop projects based on artistic and curatorial initiatives. Obscura finds and supports interesting emerging artists, helps them to build professional portfolio, bio and other organizational issues. Obscura is focused on bridging the gap between art and the public. We are looking for new spaces, experimental environment for our projects. Platform is oriented on different directions of contemporary art. Our Exhibitions include synthesis of traditional media such as painting, graphic, sculpture, new media and video art, installation, contemporary music, performance etc. Obscura’s main priority in projects held by organisation is collaboration of artists and curators.
