OS17 is a space in a nineteenth-century tenement house at Edmunda Baluka 17th Street (former Obrońców Stalingradu 17th Street) in the city centre of Szczecin, which has been shaped as an artist-run space since 2015.
Initiated by a group of students, graduates of Faculty of Painting and New Media at the Academy of Art in Szczecin, out of the primary need of physical, independent space for creative ideas, it quickly became an open space that still remains in the process without a declared statement.
It’s a place dedicated to artistic attitudes, with a self-formed organizational structure. Co-created by a group of artists associated with the Academy of Arts in Szczecin.
