Konsthall C was established in 2004 by the artist Per Hasselberg and the local town council of Hökarängen, which functions as an umbrella organisation for local citizen organisations. Konsthall C is located in a space shared with the central laundry room in Hökarängen.
The central and communal laundry room as an idea and historical project is also the basis for Konsthall C’s vision and goals. The program of events and exhibitions focuses on issues such as society building, utopian ideas, and democracy from both a local and international perspective. Research, exploration and discussion are important aspects of both the working process and the finalised program of events and exhibitions at Konsthall C.
Konsthall C is a non-profit organisation. It was initiated and founded as a public art work by the artist Per Hasselberg and the local citizens’ organisations of Hökarängen.
Konsthall C also houses a permanent exhibition about David Helldén; the original architect of the Hökarängen area, a local historical archive for Hökarängen, and Centrifug; an open exhibition space made available for exhibitions by the public.
