Initiated by Kendine Ait Bir Oda, 6x6x6 and Dâhili Bellek in January 2019; KARANTINA is an independent non-profit artist run space that serves as a collective ground for founder initiatives’ ongoing projects on contemporary art, publishing, cultural mapping and documentation. KARANTINA also supply space for trans-national projects, initiatives, cultural directors, curators and emerging artists, which are keen to enhance their network by inclusion of local actors.
Located at the ending point of historical Karataş and Karantina axis in Konak district, which is well known by its diverse cultural past, KARATINA hosts artist talks, exhibitions, screenings, forums and workshops by putting a special emphasis on documentation of city’s diverse cultural and artistic heritage.
