ArtCan is a dynamic and active non-profit artist run arts organisation with over 320 artists in 30 countries that supports its members who have no formal gallery representation through profile raising exhibitions and activities such as mentoring, workshops, talks and collaborations with galleries, companies and institutions. It has an efficient support structure with a Board of Trustees which includes Jo Baring, Director of the Ingram Collection, and art critic Tabish Khan. By providing access to professional resources and specialists, ArtCan ensures continuity of its member’s art practice. The ArtCan team strive to develop a vibrant exhibition program that is being shared with the wider public audience in an accessible and exciting fashion. We believe that individuals working alongside each other create power through collaboration. In turn, this enables artists to find their voice and sustain their practice. ArtCan also believes that a non-commission sales structure helps to support a sustainable art career for its artists.
