Acik Studyo has been established in 2016 by Safak Ersozlu and Bahar Nihal Ersozlu with the aim of opening new spaces for contemporary performance practises. The collective defines itself as a performance researches initiative which has been inaugurated in a black box in the centre of Izmir. They continue their journey in their home office in Iskele district of Urla.
Nowadays, the initiative gives priority to the collaborations with K2 Urla Breathing Zone on sustainable life idea while keeping in mind the possibility of developing other projects on various concepts in different venues. Acik Studyo and K2 Urla Breathing Zone declares their invaluable cooperation based on mutual principles for an indefinite duration.
